This article is my attempt to tell you about a really interesting opportunity that has appeared recently. It will cover my personal impressions from attending the Gaming Night and contain all the info you might need about the club.
It all started when I was just surfing my social networks aimlessly until I stumbled upon a post about a new gaming club by students of Charles University. I thought to myself that it could be quite engaging and decided to subscribe to all the updates.
On the day of the event (January 25th) I went to Kampus Hybernska with my friend who is not really a gamer, contrary to me. The thing is that I consider myself to be a tryhard solo player, having completed two games from the Dark Souls trilogy. But even despite that, we decided to go together. We found our way to the basement. For some reason, I thought that not a lot of people (5-7) would show up, considering that it is newly opened. Quite unexpectedly for me, the room was crowded: I saw around 20 people! In terms of gaming equipment, they had an Xbox 360, PS4, Nintendo with a projector connected, and even a PS5. Also, some of the guys brought their laptops.

Usually, I play mostly solo games, but that evening I was enjoying Mario Kart and FIFA, even though I had no clue how to play the latter. This was mainly due to the wonderful company I had. Since it is called International, it is perfectly possible to meet other full-time students from abroad as well as Erasmus students. I was quite surprised to meet even Czech students there.

The atmosphere was perfect, everyone had fun chatting with each other, and you know what: I discovered it is a lot easier to start a conversation while playing split-screen. RGB lights greatly contributed to the atmosphere. For those in need of refreshments, there was a possibility to buy beer. You had to bring cash for that though.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The International Gaming Night is perfectly suitable for tryhard gamers, complete beginners and even those not into gaming at all! It is a great opportunity to leave your friend group for a bit and meet new people.
